Bandhavgarh’s history is deeply rooted in ancient Indian mythology and royal heritage. The park’s name, meaning “Brother’s Fort,” is linked to the epic Ramayana, with legends suggesting that Lord Rama gifted the Bandhavgarh Fort to his brother Lakshmana.
